Fromage a Trois Cheese Festival Is Coming Back To Melbourne

Gird your loins, people. Fromage A Trois cheese fest is coming back in April this year, and it’s looking feta than ever (last cheese pun—we promise).

If you haven’t heard of this one before, it’s basically an enourmous cheese orgy that takes over Werribee Park Mansion for one day each year. The idea is to showcase the best local, artisan cheese in Victoria. A real farm-gate-to-picnic-blanket-type vibe. There’ll be dozens of local cheese artisans on site, spruiking their cheesey stuff, along with boutique craft beer, cider and wine from breweries all over Melbourne.

Werribee Gardens is going all out this year, too. There’s going to be roving entertainers, lawn games for the kids (and the kidults), live music and professional cheese masterclasses (if you don’t know your Roquefort from your Pont l'Évêque—you philistine).

Even better: Fromage A Trois will be hosting a ‘Build Your Own Picnic’ pavilion. You can rock up and take your pick from gourmet cheeses, baguettes, lavosh, figs and quince paste, get it wrapped in a boutique picnic basket, then nibble away on the lawn. Sweet.

If you want to skip the queues, just add a pre-packed basket from Richmond Hill Cafe when you book your ticket online.
