Because ICYMI, Good Beer Week kicks off on Friday 11 May, and it aims to celebrate everything good about that amber coloured liquid we can’t get enough of.
While the week celebrates beer, there’s something that goes hand in hand with a good old fashioned cold one—food.
There are a ton of great foodie events taking place during Good Beer Week, so here are a few you will want to book ASAP.
Le Bon Ton & Brooklyn Brewery
Le Bon Ton is once again teaming up with the Brooklyn Brewery team to showcase the best of Brooklyn’s range along with a three-course feast.
Natural Born Grillers BBQ Masterclass
The Que Club will host a night of BBQ perfection with a six-course smoked degustation along with matched beers and ciders from the likes of Fixation Brewing, Pike’s Beer, Granite Belt Cider Co, and New Belgium Brewing.
From Ship To Shore
Head off the main strip to Rupert On Rupert and you’ll be confronted with an interactive menu that shows exactly what WA has to offer us east coasters. Dine on sensational seafood options, and you’ll get to check out the full Gage Roads range.
A Furious Feast
Head on down to the bay to grab a five-course degustation that showcases beer and beef pairings at the Railway Club Hotel. From wagyu to cuts like beef cheek and skirt steak, you’ll get a look at what Cape Grim is famous for.
Smoke it up with the crew from 3 Ravens Brewery as they team up with the Up In Smoke crew to serve up a three-course smoke-influenced meal using beers from 3 Ravens as well as matching each course with a little something from their range.
Dinner With Paul West At Stomping Ground
Here’s your chance to catch up with Paul West of River Cottage Australia fame and have a winter feast and some Stomping Ground ales as well.
Grain To Glass Degustation Dinner
Want to get a good handle on how brewing actually happens? Then this is the event for you. Each course of the 5-course dinner is inspired by the brewing process and matched with Bad Shepherd’s finest brews.
White Rabbit Brewery Cheese Dinner
One for the cheese fiends. Take a trip down the highway to White Rabbit and dig into five-courses of cheese canapes paired with a selection of White Rabbit specialty beers.
The Botanical VS The Brewery
Ever wondered which goes better with food, beer or wine? Well then head down to Colonial Brewing Co in Port Melbourne and find out for yourself. Tuck into a six-course menu from the Botanical Hotel team where each dish is served with beer and wine.
