Spice fiends, we know you love a challenge. A chilli-laced cocktail? Too easy. A super-hot vindaloo? No problem. But a fiery burger where every bite brings a new hit of heat? Meet Australia’s hottest burger—Get That India’s The Bombay Burner, Gloves & Goggles – Krakatoa!

Wondering what exactly IS a Gloves & Goggles – Krakatoa! burger? Start with Get That India’s delicious Bombay Burner—a double beef, double cheese burger packed with jalapenos and chillies—and consider its three levels of heat: Hot, Mad-man, and Gloves & Goggles (which you’ll need just to touch this thing, Listers). Now turn the chilli factor up to eleven to take the challenge of Krakatoa and you’ve got a super-hot food challenge that’s only for the bravest of Melbourne burger fans. With the use of five different chillies, this burger is no joke!

Reckon you’re up to the challenge? Drop by to devour the Gloves & Goggles Bombay Burner and your name goes on the Get That India wall of fame, saved only for Melbourne’s most insane chilli enthusiasts. If curry is more your thing, maybe you’ll want to sign up for the next King Vinda-loonatic curry challenge—follow the Get That India Facebook page for details about the next one, if you’re brave enough!

But Get That India isn’t only about the epic food challenges. The Prahran Indian inspired restaurant, known as GTI by locals, does a great menu that covers everything from tasty chicken salads to oh-so-good curries and mouth-watering wraps, all of which make for a delicious healthy lunch in Melbourne. With a motto of ‘Clean.Lean.Choice,’ you can expect to chow down on some of the best Indian food in Melbourne with a #cleaneating twist.

While The Urban List taste team (aka. our entire Melbourne HQ) love the Bombay Burger, which is available in a wholemeal bun as well as the traditional brioche option, we’re also totally hooked on the Butter Chicken Burger. This mouth-watering taste of India via Melbourne’s southside brings together a juicy, lightly marinated chicken breast, fresh coleslaw, sliced tomatoes, tangy chutney and Get That India’s very own house garlic sauce. Oh mama! A drool-worthy healthy lunch in Melbourne if ever there was one!

Burgers (and my own cultural ignorance) aside, when I think India, I think curries. GTI’s selection of freshly made lamb, beef, chicken and veggie curries range from the mild and sweet to the heavy-hitters. There’s a killer korma for all you coconut lovers, but if you’re looking for something that packs a real flavour punch, both the Rogan Boss and the King Vindaloo are hard to beat. Line up some of the Prahran restaurant’s signature naan, which includes garlic, cheese and chilli, and you’re good to go.

If you’re a late-night food-lover, you’re in luck too. Get That India serves up its tasty curries, salads, wraps and burgers until 4 AM on Friday and Saturday nights, meaning you can ditch the dodgy kebab and pick up something far more enjoyable (and, let’s face it, far less suspicious) in the early hours. Hey, with $5 beers and ciders, all day, every day, you’d be a fool not to start your night here too!

Already drooling at the mere mention of the authentic flavours to be found in this awesome Prahran Indian eatery, but find yourself transfixed by the visions of foodie beauty in the image gallery above? Fear not: The Get That India team will deliver you some of the best Indian food in Melbourne right to your doorstep via Menulog day or night.

Whether it’s super-hot, super-lean or just plain super-tasty, Get That India simply has to be on your list for a bite to eat this week. Tell them we sent you!
