A Massive Ice Cream Festival Kicks Off Around Melbourne Next Week

By Emily Cody
4th Feb 2019

Send summer off one scoop at a time with the annual twelve-day Ice Cream Festival. This year, the festival will be happening in three different locations: Yarra Valley, Great Ocean Road and Mornington Peninsula.

Go beyond the norm and delight yourself in a menu filled with lots of unique, limited-edition flavours. Ice cream enthusiasts can get a behind-the-scenes scoop at a specially scheduled tasting session on selected days of the festival—twelve different creamy sensations and sorbets will be on offer in cups and cones to scoop up each day.

Think decadent ice cream waffle sandwiches and sundaes to share or lick. Try worldly flavours like Kombucha from China, Rubylicious from Africa, a Moscow Mule from Russia, Hummus ice cream, Aloe & Cucumber from Egypt and Champagne Cocktail from France. Feeling adventurous? Then the ice cream pizza is for you. Nostalgic? Scoop up on Fruit Tingles, Hokey Pokey and Oreo Cheesecake flavours. And if you’re feeling very adventurous, try a Triple Tequila Sunrise: a blood orange sorbet with a splash of Mexican tequila, topped with a worm.
It doesn’t end there, though. Every ice cream purchased provides entry into the draw for one lucky visitor to win an Around the World air ticket.
