The Johnston Street Latin-American Festival is back for its 37th year and is set to deliver some serious South American street partying!
Kicking off from 12pm on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of November, the festival will bring a burst of Hispanic Latin American culture to Johnston Street via free dance classes, live music and performance, a street parade and of course, a wide range of food stalls offering the mouth-watering flavours of South American cuisine.
The weekend-long free dance classes will be underway from 12:30pm at 30-minute intervals and are hosted by some of Melbourne’s best dance instructors. Grab your partners, pals or a stranger and get ready to cha-cha, salsa, and zumba your heart out! Saturday will see Australia’s only Latin hip-hop meets reggaeton band Oz Locos perform live at 7pm, and Sunday will ensure the festival goes out with a bang as the street parade channels traditional Latin rhythms from 11:45am-7pm.
Listers, do NOT miss this November favourite: Head on down to the Johnston Street Festival for a stellar weekend of incredible food and partying!
