If you’ve ever travelled to Japan, you’ll notice one thing fairly quickly—the locals hype KitKat like no other place in the world.
“Japan is famed for its love of KitKat, with a range of more than 300 flavours, since 2000, some of which pay tribute to local culinary traditions” says KitKat Chocolatory Head Chocolatier, Connie Yuen.
It was only a matter of time until homage was paid to the country that loves KitKat’s oh so much.
Bit of background; in Japan limited edition flavours are often only available in certain regions, making them highly sought after. And Melbourne is finally getting a taste of that exclusivity.
From November 7th, we'll will get a taste of Japan via the ‘Created in Japan’ KitKat range.
Here are the flavours you're in for:
- Refreshing Sake
- Creamy Hokkaido Melon & Mascarpone
- Sweet and sour Strawberry & Maple
- Classic Uji Matcha
But the standout is the KitKat Chocolatory Butter, which is influenced by the area of Hokkaido, famous for its dairy products.
