Melbourne’s Getting Its First Ever Prosecco Festival

Prosecco lovers unite! If you’ve ever been sipping on a glass of the good stuff and wondered ‘Why don’t we have an entire festival dedicated to this thing?’ then wonder no more—Melbourne is gearing for the country’s first ever local & Italian Prosecco festival.

On February 25, you’ll be able to oohh and aahh over a huge selection of the world’s most popular Prosecco, meet the growers, winemakers and importers, (AKA true heroes of our time), and even take home a goodie bag.

Festival-goers will also have a chance to taste some Prosecco food matches, like oysters, local cheeses and caviar. Fancy AF.

If that wasn’t already enough to have you screaming "Shut up and take my money", you've got Aperol Spritz served up by Van Di Vino, free WINESCREAM on offer thanks to Vinomofo, (a combo of wine and ice cream, for those playing at home), Prosecco and Aperol Spritz flavoured cannoli on offer. Nope, this is not a dream.

This glorious day wouldn’t be possible without Melissa Brauer, AKA, The Prosecco Queen and her desire to treat Melburnians to an event devoted to her favourite drop. Brauer has been extolling the virtues of Prosecco (Italian and Australian) for many years, and hosting masterclasses and wine dinners around Melbourne, dedicated to teaching people about this highly underrated wine variety.

To top it all off, there’s an array of Italian goodies that have been put together just for the occasion. God bless the Italians!
