Melbourne’s Annual Truffle Festival Going Down This Weekend

Back for its fifth glorious year, Truffle Melbourne is snuffling its way to Queen Vic Market, bringing truffles in any and every way you could imagine. They’re certainly not pretty, but it’s what’s on the inside that counts. Particularly when the insides taste as good as this.

Keen to check out the action? You can expect truffle pizza, truffle raclette, truffle gnocchi, truffle dumpling, truffle fries, truffle—yeah, you get the picture. It’s not limited to the food either, with The Prosecco Queen offering up a range of beers, cocktails, cider and, naturally, Prosecco.

When your stomach can’t take anymore, there’s a whole range of interactive activities, including cooking classes from the masters behind Bomba, Cutler & Co, The Atlantic and Sagra, truffle-hunting demos from furry friends Spice and Arrow, and even pop-up ‘winter warmers’ pet portraits. Now that’s fun for the whole family.

After all that, you’re sure to have worked up an appetite for round two—did we mention the truffle mac ’n cheese doughnuts?

Nab yourself some goodies (honey, oils, pasta sauces and the like) and let the food coma take home on your very-contented commute.
