It’s time to dust off your favourite Country Road white stretch denim pants and casual weekend Lovisa fascinator because Melbourne’s fanciest festival is about to take over Queen Victoria Market.
On Saturday & Sunday, June 16 and 17, our favourite melting pot of memorabilia and fresh local produce will be home to a weekend-long festival presented as a homage to our favourite ritzy fungus—the black winter truffle.
This free event promises a throng of truffle-based goodness, as well as a plethora of food and drink partners that will quench every thirst and fulfil every hunger. But what if we aren’t the heirs of a multi-million dollar boutique Melbourne fashion label? Fear not, friends, word on the street is there’ll be ~affordable~ truffle dishes galore, plus a truckload of artisanal produce to take home too.
But wait, there’s more. Guests will not only be treated to the world’s best truffles but also mock truffle dog hunts, live music and chef demonstrations by Melbourne’s finest fancy fungi chefs all weekend long.
Basically, it’s the free festival of your dreams. So, block out your iCal, drop the deets in the group chat and organise to rendezvous with your mates at the Queen Victoria Market this June.
