If we were to list a few of our favourite things, 90's rap band Salt N Pepa, pop-up bars, and drinking alcohol would certainly rank highly—so you can imagine the office excitement when we caught wind of a Salt n Pepa themed bar.

That's right, a group of bright young sparks have had the genius idea to play homage to everyone's favourite 90s female rap trio in the most Melbourne way possible: a pop-up bar. Sitting pretty at 410 Station Street in Thornbury, Salt n Peppa (yes, they're spelling it like this, something something copyright?) offers the perfect excuse to dust off your gold chains and pull on your sneakers and baggy jeans. Oh wait, that's kind of in fashion again anyway...

On Thursday and Friday this week and next week, you can expect to find salty food, peppery drinks and some fast and fabulous tapas—the perfect accompaniment to pumpin' 90s RNB.

So in the words of Salt n Pepa, "shoop." Oh wait, no, we mean, "all you fly mothers, get on out there and dance."

What: SALT & PEPPA pop up bar
Where: 410 Station St, Thornbury
When: Thursday and Fridays (6 - 11pm) from 21-29 April.
