It’s not every day that some of the world’s biggest and best artists come to Australia, but TBH, this year we’ve been damn spoilt. First it was Van Gogh in Melbourne, then Rembrandt in Sydney and now? An entire motley crew of pure brilliance is headed for Adelaide. Guys, we’re talking about The Water Lillies Pond—we’ll just give you a minute while you go and book flights to Radelaide.
You back? Great. Here are the specifics: the Musée d’Orsay (aka home to France’s best impressionist artists) is sending some of their finest works Down Under, and yeah, this is big. The exhibition has been aptly named Colours of Impressionism: Masterpieces from the Musée d’Orsay and it’ll see works from impressionist painters like Monet, Manet, Renoir , Seuret and oh-so-god-damn-much-more. And yep, they're bringing Water Lillies.
The exhibition will open at The Art Gallery of South Australia on 29 March and you know you’ll be there. More details here.
