Camping Fees In Victoria’s National Parks Have Just Been Permanently Halved

If you’ve been hanging around here long enough, you’ll be well aware that we’re all about a weekend getaway. Whether that’s hitting up the awesome things happening around regional Victoria, going on a scenic drive, or hitting up some of the best walks around Melbourne—we’re all for it.

Camping though, camping holds a special place in our heart.

As of the 1 July, camping rates around Victoria have literally halved due to an investment by the state government to the tune of $107.2 million. That’s a lot of campsites.

The fee drops do not include fixed-roof options in parks under Parks Victoria’s control but applies to a range of National Park campsites around the state including the recent addition to UNESCO World Heritage site Budj Bim National Park. You can find a full list of places where camping fees apply here.

For more information on the price drop, check out the Parks Victoria website.
