Put down the Nintendo and put on your stretchy pants—a Super Mario High Tea is coming to Melbourne.

Yep, you heard right. From 28 December—and running all through the school holidays—The Langham’s Aria Lounge will be home to tonnes of treats featuring everyone’s favourite Italian plumber and his gang.

On the menu, you’ve got Super Mario-inspired cakes and sweets like Gold Coin Cupcakes, Power Moon Cookies, Toad Mushroom Macaroons and Princess Peach Muffins. There're also classics like raspberry cordial and ham and cheese sangas to zoom you straight back to your childhood.

As if Mario-themed goodies weren’t enough, guests are invited to dress-up in their finest Mario-style costumes too. You can even pick up a proper Mario Kart cap at the event.

The high tea is open to everyone from 1980’s original fans to kids who wouldn't know a Koopa Troopa if he drove over their dinner.
