If you live in Melbourne and you use The Internets, chances are you’re familiar with design maven, TDF Open House visionary, and all round legendary gal, Lucy Feagins, creator of Australia’s most popular design blog, The Design Files. (Helllooo lady crush).
As if Lucy wasn’t busy enough, she’s now gone and launched The Design Files Inaugural Annual Fundraiser, an exhibition to raise funds for Melbourne’s Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.
Taking place this weekend, The Design Files fundraiser exhibition, which aims to raise $50,000, will showcase the works of 28 respected Australian artists who have all donated works. The money raised from the exhibition will go a loooong way in running Melbourne’s Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.
If we know Lucy and her amazing eye, the art on display will be stellar and you’ll be screaming “Take all of my monies!”. The best bit? The $50,000 raised by The Design Files Inaugural Annual Fundraiser Exhibition will provide 100,000 hot lunches, groceries for families, medical care and legal advice to some of Melbourne newest and most disadvantaged residents.
Head along to The Design Files Inaugural Annual Fundraiser Exhibition, enjoy seeing some of Australia’s leading artists in one location, and don’t be afraid to splash the cash for this great cause.
We tip our hats to you, Lucy and will be there with bells on.
