The Melbourne BBQ Festival Is Back

Melbourne, you’re a city of two halves: One half who’ll do anything for a deliciously fresh #cleaneating salad, and the other who are MAD for meat. If you fall into the second camp, you’d better have your credit card at the ready today because tickets for The Yaks Melbourne Barbecue Festival 2016 are on sale as of now!

If you made it to February’s event, which was held at the Queen Victoria Market, you’ll know just how juicy and delicious the day was. Celebrating all things barbecue, the 2016 event date has been set for Saturday 6th February, when the festival will upgrade to a much bigger venue at Flemington Racecourse.

At the Melbourne Barbecue Festival 2016, you’ll be able to wrap your chops around some amazing barbecue dishes from local heroes, as well as visiting barbecue experts who are in town for the special day. Keen to DIY your very own smokehouse? There will be equipment exhibitors on site too, to help you source the finest kit for your set-up.

And, for the first year ever, the festival is headed to Sydney too. We’ve got our fingers crossed for some cross-city BBQ knowledge swapping… There’s a lot those Sydney-siders could learn from Melbourne’s best BBQ restaurants!

Tickets are priced at $20 per person (kids under 16 years go for free), with further event details to be announced nearer the date. Get in early for this one, meat lovers, and start counting down the days!
