There’s A Pop-Up Dimmie & Dumpling Festival On This Weekend

Yep, you read that right. This weekend, the legends at Welcome To Thornbury are throwing a festival dedicated to all suspicious meats cooked in glutinous rice skins. AKA dim sims and dumplings.

(If you can think of a better way to sum up dimmies and dumplings, please write to us c/o The Urban List)

It’s Melbourne’s first ever dimmies and dumplings fest, and it’s looking like a doozy. Pierogi Pierogi will be there slinging—well—sh*t tonnes of Pierogi. Woking Amazing will be rocking vegan dim sims (what are these and why haven’t we heard of them before?) and Flamin’ Good Chilli have ventured deep into the jungle primeval to create The World’s Hottest Dim Sim. That sounds potentially terrifying.

The Brunswick Mess Hall will also be on-site, hosting an exclusive pop-up and selling their famous crispy pork gyoza and steamed dumplings by the truck-load. You WILL get soy sauce on your new white t-shirt.

Dump Clubs of Melbourne. Your time has come.
