The Italian Film Festival 2015
Whether you’re hankering for a romance, hoping to catch a classic, or just feel like watching something set in the most beautiful country in the world, you’ll find a film for your needs at the Italian Film Festival, which opened on Wednesday. Melbourne Underground Film Festival
If you love low budget horror, obscure tales and DIY silver-screen adventures, cast your eyes over the line-up for Melbourne Underground Film Festival, which closes this weekend.
Lamaro’s Bodega Has Reopened!
South Melbourne pub Lamaro’s has reopened this week with a Latin twist, making it the perfect place to chow down on some delicious juicy dishes, including suckling pig, rib-eye steak and ham hock. Headed up by chef Louis Naepel (of Mr Big Stuff and Grossi Florentino fame) you just know the food’s going to be good!
Guilty Pleasures At Supernormal
Wrap your muth around Supernormal chef Andrew McConnell's favourite dish, his lobster roll, along with a glass of Krug champagne for a pittence at the CBD restaurant all weekend long. Delish!
Joy O’Clock Hits Fed Square
This Thursday and Friday, get yourself to Federation Square for some joyous activities between 8am and 5.30pm. After some live music and entertainment at 2pm, there’ll be double joy at 3.30pm, when chocolate giants Cadbury will be satisfying your afternoon cravings. Free chocolate? Yes please.
The Food Truck Park | Preston
On Saturday and Sunday from 12.30pm until 3pm and 5.30pm until 9.30pm, Melbourne’s best food trucks are headed to Preston’s Food Truck Park at 518 High Street. Drop by for some lunchtime bites or a night of awesome nibbles and drinks.
Channels Video Festival
From Friday, Melbourne will be home to Channels 2015, a 10-day video art festival which sees projections, special showings and online videos take over the city. You’ll find some of the film action at Grey Gardens in Fitzroy—the perfect spot for some culture with a coffee in hand.
Brush Script Writing Workshop
Keen to make your own gift cards, design your own hand-scripted logos, or just want to learn how to write in a really, really cool way?! The Royal Melbourne Show 2015
Running from Saturday 19th until Tuesday 29th September, The Royal Melbourne Show combines food, farming and agriculture, craft, culture and more at this annual celebration of all things Melbourne. There are some incredible pop-up restaurants tagging along for the ride too, including Huxtable, Bibelot, Zumbo and City Wine Shop. Delicious.
Make Your Own Terrarium!
