Breakfast in Bed Bindle by Bindle, $100 | Breakfast in bed is definitely the go-to on Mother's Day, but sometimes plain ol' scrambles on toast just doesn't cut the mustard. Enter Bindle's 'Breakfast in Bed' gift, a beautifully wrapped package filled to the brim with Australian-made, artisan-crafted breakfast goodies, delivered straight to your mum's door.

This bindle contains Full of Grace granola, Melbourne Rooftop honey, Regimental Condiment Company Seville Marmalade and Henry Langdon tea, Robert Gordon's ceramic teacup, Fable & Co hand painted tea towel and a wooden honey dipper. It's essentially a toolbox for the ultimate brekkie in bed.  Sorted.

Nespresso Inissia & Aeroccino3 Breville from Nespresso Emporium Melbourne, $249 | It's a universal fact that George Clooney is on the top of most mothers' wish lists…and while Mr Decaffeinato is unavailable this Mother's Day, we've got the next best thing right here. Meet the Nespresso Inissia: a sexy little coffee machine that is sure to be adored by mothers the country (nay, world) over this Mother's Day.

This lightweight and compact coffee machine also comes with an Aeroccino milk frother, making it the perfect gift for all cappuccino-loving mothers. Head to Nespresso's sleek new store at the Emporium Melbourne to snag one for your mum (and maybe one for yourself, too!)

The Mother's Day Bunch from The Little Market Bunch, $65 | Not only will The Little Market Bunch hand deliver a beautiful bunch of flowers fresh from the market to your mother's door, they'll also gift her a sweet smelling, hand-poured candle from Market Lane Candles. While the Mother's Day bunch is yet to be decided (it all depends on what looks best at the markets), the candle scent for the day is Avocado and Mint and, let me just say, it certainly smells good enough to eat!

Tom Dixon Brass & Marble Scented Candles from Third Drawer Down, $113 | Created by British designer Tom Dixon, each scented candle is contained within a hand-spun brass, copper or nickel vessel and comes with a solid Indian Morwad marble lid – my, oh my, aren't they sexy! While we adore all the scents, our pick for Mother's Day would be the Royalty candle, a lively, quintessentially British candle fit for the Queen Mum (of all households).

Make sure you pop into Third Drawer Down's Fitzroy or Prahran store and take a whiff of the glorious scent yourself. You'll swear its smells like teatime and the Thames rolled into one.

Geo From And With Love Socks from Lunar Store, $15 | While socks oft get a bad rap in the gift-giving books, this colourful pair will make your mum (and her tootsies) as happy as can be this Mother's Day. Independent design hub Lunar Store stocks the Melbourne-designed From And With Love socks (including our favourite Geo pair!), alongside a host of other beautiful goodies, including handpicked homewares, jewellery, leather goods, accessories and photography products from international and local designers. It'll be hard not to leave without half the store.

Candystripe/ Peach Chambray Quilt Cover from Kip & Co, $209 | Step away from the white-on-white and brighten up your mum's linen with this gorgeous Kip & Co quilt cover. Known for their colourful boutique bedding, Kip & Co is one of Melbourne's most vibrant lifestyle brands, with everything from patterned towels to velvet beanbags prime for the purchasing this Mother's Day.

While the colourful Candystripe / Peach Chambray quilt cover comes in everything from Single to Super King, we've picked the Queen size for the guide (well your Mum's a queen, isn't she?).

The Bolton Cushion from Tassel + Gaine, $79 | If your mum's a sucker for bold design, you can't go past Tassel + Gaine's colourful cushions this Mother's Day. The Bolton is one of our favourites, with its bright brushstroke patterns guaranteed to liven up the dreariest of beige lounge settings.

We're not the only ones who are a little Tassle + Gaine obsessed; launched in October last year, they've been touted as one of Australia's hottest new homeware brands, already garnering a huge fan base for their colourful creations after a few months of business. Love!

Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rose from Bottle House, $120 | I think we can all agree that Mother's Day calls for champagne, and South Yarra's Bottle House is the perfect stop this Mother's Day, boasting a selection of over 80 different brands of the bubbly stuff! While there's nothing wrong with sparkling wine, nothing says 'I love you, Mum' more than Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rose. Pair it with raspberry macarons and you've got yourself an at-home high tea!

Liefje Dark Spiced Chocolate Box from Sorry Thanks I Love You, $35 | Online gift store Sorry Thanks I Love You is opening a month-long pop-up shop in Prahran just in time for Mother's Day. They boast a range of gifts sourced from all over the world, featuring celebrated international designers like Venessa Arizaga alongside Melbourne artisans like small batch chocolatiers, Liefje.

We're eyeing off the Liefje chocolate box, a beautifully wrapped bundle featuring three of their gluten, dairy and sugar free raw chocolates: Smoked Salt, Spice Trail and Hazelnut Crunch. Forget the box of Cadbury Roses, this is the ultimate sweet gift, minus the guilt.

Tied & Died Scarf from Kish & Evie, $54 | Brighten up your mum's wardrobe with a gorgeous, handmade cotton silk scarf from Melbourne-based Kish & Evie. If we had to pick one of their gorgeous scarves (we want them all, darn it!) it'd have to be Tied & Died, a super soft pink and blue number with a slight sheen for a bit of extra glamour. Kish & Evie donate 10 per cent of profits towards funding the education of less fortunate children, so get purchasing for a good cause!
