Urban Listers, you've made it abundantly clear that you want to know (make that, neeeed to know!) the best things happening around town, so let's cut to the chase – here are our picks of what's happening this weekend in Melbourne…

Friday 7th February

It's the first Friday of the month and you know what that means…it's time for a new Mixology menu at Café Vue! The month, Mixology is all about the history of gin (oh, how we love the stuff!), with five delicious courses matched with gin-based cocktails. Sounds like perfection to us!

Cafe Vue 'Mixology' | 430 Little Collins Street in Melbourne

$95 per person | Every Friday night in February at 7:00pm

Feel like kickin' back and listening to some tunes but want to try something different? Why not book tickets to see Clairy Browne & the Bangin' Rackettes at Zoo Twilights? The nine-piece group have just returned from the States, where their blend of rock & roll and good ol' soul was a hit.

Saturday 8th February

Fact: Melbourne has the third largest Greek community IN THE WORLD (Athens and Thessaloniki are 1st and 2nd). It comes as no surprise then that the annual Antipodes Festival, held this weekend in the Lonsdale Street Greek precinct, goes off and is packed to the brim with Greek dancing, cultural activities, and of course, more souvlakia than you can count.

This weekend will be hot, hot, hot, so instead of buying icy poles, why not learn how to handcraft your own at Petals to Popsicles? Hosted by Tamsin's Table, the class will be led by Michelle Luckman from Lucky Pops, who'll teach you how to make gourmet icy poles using flowers, herbs and fruits grown from the garden. The workshop will then be followed by a delicious lunch spread – nom!

Family Day is undoubtedly the most popular day on the summer racing calendar, and is filled with a heap of fun activities for kids of all ages.
