Summer Night Markets

We’re thinking the Queen Vic Market should just make their night markets a permanent fixture and save us the trouble of having to remember a new theme each month, but that doesn’t mean we’re not excited for the return of the Summer Night Market this November. With over 100 global street food and shopping stalls, some fresh summer drinks and free live local entertainment, we’d be lying if we said we’re not going to check it out when the temperature starts rising.

The Colour Run

The Colour Run is returning this year with a “Love Tour” that aims to bring everyone together to create a healthier, happier and (much) more vibrant community. The 5 km fun-run encourages participants to wear white as they are doused in brightly coloured powder at each 1 km mark of the run. All levels of skill are encouraged to get involved, but you’ll probably want to start considering how you’ll wash that coloured powder out of your hair.

Melbourne Cat Lovers Show

If you’re more of a crazy cat-lady than a dog-lover, well shame on you, but also fear not, because we have something this month for those with an affinity for felines as well. At the 2019 Cat Lovers Show there’ll be cat-related entertainment, educational talks, cat-adoption advice and more than 150 exhibitors showcasing all the best cat-based products and services around. There will even be Kitty-Cosplay competitions (yikes) which you can enter at your own risk.

Is it getting hot in here? The Nando’s story started in Jo’Burg back in 1987, when mates Robbie and Fernando walked into a PERi-PERi chicken restaurant as customers and came out owners. That’s the power of PERi-PERi. Since then they’ve been obsessing over those flavours, so today their famous PERi-PERi marinades, bastings and sauces are made with Nando’s very own African Bird’s Eye Chillies grown in Southern Africa, plus a dash of lemon, garlic, onion and herbs. There’s a flavour for everyone on Nando’s PERi-ometer, ranging from BBQ all the way up to Extra Hot!

For everything else happening around Melbourne, turn the Nando's peri-ometer right up and check out our Things To Do section for a guaranteed good time.
