Say hello to WAM! (Wild Adventures Melbourne), the newest arrival on Melbourne’s eco-tourism scene. This exciting new eco-tour operator offers day trips from Melbourne to the great outdoors. They can take you bushwalking, mountain biking, stand up paddle boarding, you name it. With groups capped at eight people and private tours on offer too, their action-packed adventures are designed to get you closer to nature, while doing good for the environment and community.

Eco-tourism companies are popping up more and more these days, as demand for sustainable tourism ramps up. Now that we can travel again, we have a real opportunity to change the way we do things. WAM! tours are here for that change.

As a social enterprise and member of 1% For the Planet, WAM! tours aim for sub-zero impact. They donate to local environmental charities, offset their carbon emissions, and leave places in equal or better condition than when they found them by cleaning up litter from waterways and parks with their portable bins as they go.

WAM! also supports like-minded businesses through their tours. For the foodies in the group, they stop off for meals at their favourite sustainable and organic cafes and wineries. All their equipment and products are sourced from local businesses that share their values too.

At the moment WAM! have two awesome trips on offer. For $239pp, the Mornington Peninsula Adventure includes an indulgent trip to the Peninsula Hot Springs and a hike to a hidden beach, with lunch at an organic winery and stand up paddleboard session all included. At $159pp, the Sunrise Wildlife Adventure is a half-day tour that includes a bike tour and stand up paddleboard session, as well as a Melbourne-style breakfast and a guide to help you spot the local wildlife.
