We all know that lunchtime is the best part of any workday, but we also know how difficult it is to get away from your desk when you have impending deadlines and extra work being shoved in your in-tray. Thankfully, there are some awesome and tasty Perth CBD take away lunch options that you can pick up in a jiffy and take back to your desk, like the good little slave you are. Here are 10 of our favourite Perth CBD take away lunch options.

Say goodbye to the plain, boring rice paper rolls of your past and hello to Roll’d in Cloisters Arcade, Perth. Barramundi, barbecue chicken and soft shell crab with avo are just some of the flavours on offer here. Roll’d are also serving super fresh and tasty Bánh Mì and Phở, as well as rice and noodle salads. We love The B (rice/noodle salad bowl) with barbecue chicken, and a side of the tastiest spring rolls in Perth. Grab an ice tea or Vietnamese iced coffee and you’re good to go til dinner.

Slurp Soup & Salad Bar

Step away from the packet soup, Perth peeps—it’s not natural eating meat from a plastic receptacle with a shelf life stretching to your next birthday. For fresh, nutritious and tasty soups in the Perth CBD, head to Slurp Soup & Salad Bar. Tucked into Cloisters Arcade, this tasty little take away nook serves slurpy soups like chicken veloute and french onion, alongside ham and cheese toasted brioche kebabs. They also dish out super healthy bone broth. I know where I’m going for lunch today!

Feeling guilty after having a Top Dup doughnut for morning tea? Grab lunch from Panache and you’ll be feeling better (and healthier) in no time. They’ve got plenty of take away superfood salads, artisan rolls and gluten-free quiches to go around—all designed in collaboration with healthy folk from The Green Label Co. If you’re needing a little pick-me-up but have maxed out your daily coffee allowance, grab a soy matcha latte to keep you going till home time.

The Growers

Grab your lunch in liquid form with one of The Growers’ superfood smoothies. Tucked into Shafto Lane, this tiny Perth CBD health cafe is popular with the acai, maca, chia, lupin and agave gang. If you prefer to chew your lunch, The Growers also sell wraps, salads, raw pizzas and bliss balls. Noice!

The Hummus Club

Well known for their popular offerings at markets around town, The Hummus Club is set to open their first pop-up store in Perth’s Trinity Arcade. Having gained a cult following for their top-notch and super tasty approach to traditional Middle Eastern cooking, The Hummus Club crew will be dishing out lunch to hungry CBD workers for six months from the start of October.

Mama Tran

Phở good times and yummy take away Vietnamese, head to Mama Tran on Milligan Street. Mama’s got your work lunch covered with plenty of scrummy options on the menu like rice paper rolls, noodle salads and Bánh Mì, as well as our favourite, Phở Đặc Biệt (rice noodle soup with beef).

Uncle Joe’s

Ploughman’s lunch box, you say? Thank you Uncle Joe’s, you have answered our prayers. Get this and more at this super cool barbershop-cum-mess-cafe on King Street. If you can pass up the lunch box, Uncle Joe’s make some killer sambos filled to the brim with goodies like waygu bresaola, salami, prosciutto and avo. Don’t forget to grab a yummy treat for when 3pm snack time rolls around.

Toastface Grillah

Toastface Grillah are the cheese when it comes to toasted sandwiches in Perth. The Notorious B.A.G. with bacon, apple and gouda is one of our faves (see if you can detect a slight hint of pizza), along with the Trillacheese (three cheese) and The King (peanut butter, banana, brie and maple syrup). Grab a cold-pressed juice or coffee, head back to the office and watch the jealous onlookers as you chow down on your cheesy goodness.

Nao Japanese

Nothin’ better than a big ol’ bowl of ramen to get you through the workday. For some of the best in Perth head to Nao Japanese on Murray Street where you can choose from four broth flavours (salty, miso, soy or spicy), three types of noodles (regular, green or red), and then load up with toppings till your heart’s content.

Le Vietnam

It’s all about the Bánh Mì at Le Vietnam on Barrack Street in Perth. Frequently changing up the menu, you’re likely to find tasty fillings like pulled pork and soft shell crab—but whatever you order, it will be delicious. You won’t be able to wait till you get back to your desk with these bad boys.
