This Saturday, thousands will be getting up at the crack of sparrows to attend ANZAC Day services in Melbourne. Inevitably, there’ll be a desperate rush for coffee after, or just a craving for a long lazy brunch with friends, which is where we come in!

We know you’re keen to know what’s open in Melbourne on ANZAC Day, so we’ve done the rounds to see who’ll be feeding and watering the masses around town. Yep, Listers, keep your pretty peepers on the page cos we’ve rounded up 15 top Melbourne cafes open on ANZAC Day in Melbourne!

Baba Sus, Glen Iris – 7:30am-4:00pm

This stellar Glen Iris cafe serves up a mean breakfast….plus their coffee, supplied by Brewhouse Coffee Roasters, is INCRED! Get in early before the crowds and order the waffles (you won’t regret it).

Dr Morse, Abbotsford – 8:00am-late

Abbotsford favourite, Dr Morse, will be open at 8:00am this year for breakfast—perfect for stopping by on your way home from the Dawn Service! They’ll also be screening the ANZAC Day football on the big screen, with plenty of activities and meat pie specials happening.

Ebenezer, Black Rock – 7:00am-4:00pm

Down Bayside way, Ebenezer will also be dishing up some of Melbourne’s best breakfasts and brunches this coming ANZAC Day. Take a seat, order a Seven Seeds coffee and just relaaaaax.

Hammer & Tong, Fitzroy – 7:00am-late

One of the best cafes in Melbourne, Hammer & Tong 412 is another top spot to feast this Saturday. Their famous breakfast menu makes it hard to choose, however we can’t go past the Breakfast Ramen!

The Joinery, Elwood – 6:00am-11:00pm

Beloved by Elwood locals for providing one of the best breakfasts in Melbourne’s bayside ‘burbs, The Joinery will be open for trade this coming ANZAC Day. Do yourself a favour—order the Breakfast Plate! Deeeelish.

Lil Boy Blue, Kew – 7:00pm-3:00pm and 5:00pm-late

Did you know the Kew cafe, Lil Boy Blue, serves some of the best tacos in Melbourne? Well, you do now and this Saturday you can feast on their famous soft breakfast taco, plus the duck and prawn tacos for lunch. NOM!

Pavlov's Duck, Collingwood – 8:00am-5:00pm

A Melbourne clean eating cafe with a Sri Lankan twist, Pavlov’s Duck will be ready and waiting to feed and water you on ANZAC Day. Try their famous Lankan Frenchy croissant or the fritters, and make sure you order a kombucha or smoothie to wash it down!

Speakeasy, South Yarra – 8:00am-late

Two words—Zucchini. Fritters. This is what you need to be ordering on Saturday at Speakeasy…along with a strong coffee of course! The perfect South Yarra cafe to while away your day.

Street Organics, Malvern – 8:00am-4:00pm

Another one of our favourite healthy cafes in Melbourne, Street Organics will be open as normal on ANZAC Day. There’s a new room that’s opened upstairs with comfy couches and a table for eight, so grab your crew and head down for brunch!

Rustica Sourdough, Fitzroy – 7:00am-4:00pm

Bustling Fitzroy bakery and cafe Rustica Sourdough will be open from 7:00am, and will be serving breakfast, lunch and coffees, along with all of their artisan breads and sweet treats. Arrive for breakfast and then stay for lunch!

Crowded House, Williamstown – 8:00am-3:00pm

If you’re in Williamstown this Saturday, make sure you head to Crowded House for breakfast! They’ll be open from 8:00am, serving up scrummy dishes like baked eggs and smashed avocado. So, so good!

Odd Spot, Newport – 8:00am-4:00pm

Boy oh boy, we’re in love with westside cafe Odd Spot—their corn fritters, served with bacon, avo, spinach, sour cream and salsa are out-of-this-world good. Head straight for Odd Spot this weekend, and feast on fritters until you can feast no more!

The Wooden Elk, South Melbourne – 8:00am-3:00pm

Clean eats and paleo treats is what The Wooden Elk in South Melbourne is all about, so if that’s your cup of tea, you know where to go this Saturday! Hot tip: order the crunchy granola.

Industry Beans, Fitzroy – 8:00am-4:00pm

Open from 8:00am until 4:00pm, Fitzroy cafe Industry Beans is another top spot for a caffeine hit this ANZAC Day. Ordering a coffee or two is a given, however we highly recommend a dish (like the one pictured above) from their incredible brunch menu—try the Coconut Crusted Brioche or the Shanklish Cheese Omelette!

Bowery to Williamsburg – 8:30am-3:00pm

Melbourne CBD cafe Bowery to Williamsburg is always a hive of activity on weekends, and this Saturday will be no different! The Bowery crew will be open from 8:30am, so stop by for a bagel and a brew…hands down, some of the best coffee in Melbourne.
