Melbourne Ceramics Market

These aren’t your standard pots and vases. The Melbourne Ceramics Market specialising in some of the funkiest ceramics we’ve ever seen. From mugs to trinket holders, there’s something for everyone. One of these little babies is just what you need for that empty space in the lounge. You know, the empty one above the TV, below the succulents.

Resto BoBo at Paris to Provence

French pizza, say what? Resto BoBo is bringing its new tapas menu to the Paris to Provence festival, and they're daring us to try their creations. Think beetroot balls, cauliflower bites and mac and cheese, French style. It’s something you’ve probably never had before, so bypass your burger this weekend and grab a slice of Strasbourg-style pizza instead.

The Design Files Open House 

If ever there was a weekend to go and re-decorate your entire home, this is it. The Design Files is bringing together the work of 40 Aussie makers, designers and artists, and using them to create the ultimate Pinterest-porn apartment setting. So you can see what that particular painting looks like next to the couch before you take it home. Pretty cool if you ask us.

Monster Fest 2017

If getting the absolute buggery scared out of you sounds like your idea of a good time, then you’ll be pleased to know Monster Fest is back for 2017. This film festival is where can find heaps of blood, guts and thrills—everything you want from a good horror flick. Grab the popcorn, (and maybe a change of undies) and get yourself down to Monster Fest this weekend.

The Melbourne Fair

As if you didn’t have enough markets to fit in this weekend, you've now got the Melbourne Fair—a market specialising in antiques, art deco and vintage goodies. If vintage fashion is your forte, try your luck at the best-dressed competition. Dust off your 90s denim jacket, come for the shopping and stay for the history lesson.

Palace Of The Republic At NGV

There’s a huge exhibition of paper sculptures happening and you know you want in. Sorry to break it to you, but the paper chains you made at school that one time isn’t the best paper art going around. These are. They come from famed international artist Louise Paramor, and we reckon this seriously colourful and fun exhibition is worth a visit.

Oasis Food Festival

You didn’t need an excuse to visit Oasis Bakery and fill yourself up on Middle Eastern goodies, but now you've got one anyway. The team behind Oasis are throwing a festival this weekend, and there’s set to be live music, camels, belly dancing and a whole lot of food. It’s completely free, too!

The Traders at Merricks General Wine Store

Take a drive down to the tiny town of Merricks on the Mornington Peninsula and pick up a little something for Mum. Got an American friend who might be missing home? An artist market, at a café garden with live music in Brunswick. Can you get any more Melbourne than that?  This weekend the market plays host to a huge live art installation, as well as awesome creations from jewellery to prints. Not only will you be getting a nice dose of art and culture, one hundred percent of the profits from coffee sales go to education projects the Asia-Pacific region. Good deed for the day done!

Calling all LEGO lovers. LEGOLAND Chadstone is offering you one night to relive your childhood without grubby little fingers getting in the way. If you consider yourself a bit of a pro, there will be heaps of challenges throughout the night too.
