Today's yes vote announcement is a huge moment in Australian history and a damn good occasion to celebrate in whatever way you damn well want. In other words: party your tiny little yes-voting heart out. Get loved up with family and friends, give them a hug and then drag them along to one of the many parties being held all over Melbourne today. 

If there was any more reason for a Humpday drink or three—this is it.

Right off the bat, you can join LGBTQIA+ and allies for the live result at the State Library today to celebrate the YES. Totally fab, you’re encouraged to rock up in your best party glitter to for an all-out party and you better prep yourself, ‘cos this kind of recognition has been a long time coming and you’re not going to be forgetting it anytime soon #letswinitandcelebrate.

BEERS AT THE LOOP PROJECT

Right after the Equal Love live broadcast over at State Library, the team over at The Loop are hosting a day of celebratory drinking. Say yes to free beer or cider on arrival and bask in the glory of looveee. After that, head on down to the Vic Trades Hall for some quality partying, celebrating with the United For Marriage Equality and Australian Marriage Equality at the street party extravaganza.

VICTORIA STREET PARTY

Speaking of which, yes there’s going to be an epic street party hosted by none other than the United For Marriage Equality team. Celebrating, appreciating, and lovin’ all the hard work, endurance, and of course all the love (because we love the love) the Street Party will be kicking off at Lygon Street before dancin’ their way to Trades Hall. Expect some classic tunes, drag, live entertainment, food and booooooze.

PARTY AT ROOFTOP BAR

Presenting Marriage Queery (in case you had any last queries on how good this night’s going to get). Rooftop Bar is inviting you to head their way right now. Whether the vote came back Yes or No, they were always going to celebrate the LGBT+ community around the country. And what better way to do that than a day of disco? Outpost’s very own Whiskey Houston and Mr Weir will be joining the party so expect heaps of quality tunes all the way till sunset.
