A Bourbon And Burger Pop-Up Is Coming To Melbourne

By James Shackell
2nd May 2017

Burgers and bourbon—that’s a pretty delicious one-two punch right there. Yep, Wild Turkey are joining forces with Sydney-based burger joint Burgers by Josh to bring a burger and bourbon-themed pop-up to the CBD. This is happening, folks.

For three days this month they’ll be setting up shop in Whitehart, the city’s new bar/multi-story art installation/trend temple. There’ll be a bourbon-themed burger menu (!!) plus original art from skateboarding icon Gareth Stehr, and street artists Klara and Adrian Doyle. Each artwork has been rendered on white oak bourbon barrel lids, so it’s only fitting that there’ll be matched cocktails to go with. Don't go home without trying the new Kentucky Firebird: a smoke-filled glass spiked with a combination of Grand Marnier, Cinzano Rosso, Maraschino and a healthy splash of Wild Turkey 101.

As for the food, Sydney burger legend Josh Arthurs has built some Willy Wonka-style combos for the event. Think smoky bourbon marinades with an American-style pulled turkey (get it?), all trapped between pillowy-soft buns. Did we mention entry is free?
