Sometimes even we can’t believe these headlines...
But yep, whether you want it or not, there’s a huge after-dark vegan dance party going down in Melbourne next week. With food trucks. Vegan food trucks. And DJs. Vegan DJs.
They’re calling it Vegan Nights, and it’s all happening at The Ascot Lot food truck park on Tuesday 31 July. The guys ran one of these back in June and it went bananas (in a low-energy, vegan kind of way). This is the much-hyped second instalment.
So what can you expect at an after-dark vegan food truck dance party? Smoke, lights, a rotating DJ line-up, and a cornucopia of plant-based, vegan goodness. We’re talking vegan mac n’ cheese from The Twisted Mac, vegan butter chicken (don’t ask) from Curry Up Now and a bunch of your other street food faves. Anyone looking for a double cheeseburger is gonna be sorely disappointed.
DJ Fragile Future (amazing) will be spinning the decks in the container stage, and there’ll even be a small marketplace where you can browse for sustainable homewares etc. You’ll dance, you’ll eat, you’ll hear the latest from Sea Shepherd (legit).
Entry for this bad boy is $5. Better get booking.
When: Tuesday 31 July, 5pm – 10pm
Where: The Ascot Lot, 448 Mt Alexander Rd, Ascot Vale
