Hang onto your sombrero because ARRIBA! Mexican Festival is here to help us transition to spring.
The festival is a free Mexican-themed event that honours Mexican heritage and culture; we’re talking Mexican cuisine, folklore, Day of the Dead Celebration, dance, music, bright costumes, and mariachis.
Gorge yourself on salsa, guacamole, empanadas, enchiladas, tamales, burritos, fajitas and lots more while dancing along to sweet live music. Over 25 Mexican and Latino-American vendors will provide a wide range of street foods. There will also be a Margarita Garden (um, yes please) and handcrafted goods for the shopaholics.
There’s also a theme within a theme: everyone will be sporting Day of the Dead (Dia de Los Muertos) accoutrements, so get ready for a weekend full of skulls, face painting and lots of cool costumes. You can participate in the costume fun, but don’t worry if you’re more of a jeans-and-t-shirt type: Day Of The Dead costumes are recommended but not mandatory.
ARRIBA! will be on Saturday 26 October and Sunday 27 October. Can I get a "hell yes"?
