Hola, Highett. The Bayside Food Truck Fiesta is back, and boy do they have a smorgasbord of activities for you and your beloved (note: beloved can be human or dog). Thanks to the crew behind Beyond the Valley, Pitch Festival and Petting Zoo Festival, you can indulge in multiple espresso martinis (that are on tap, obvs) and watch a ‘Pupper Appreciation Party’ while munching on an oozing triple cheese TOASTA.
Opening Thursday 2 November, hand over a gold coin and flirt with more than 25 food vendors and some rockin’ live music. Festival attendees are encouraged to bring their favourite little people for a full day of market stalls and amusement rides (and did we mention pooch pampering?)
Ending well and truly with a bang on Tuesday 7 November, those avoiding the racecourse can still get some Insta-worthy Cup Day pics. The Cup Day Fashions on the Field is taking a furry turn, with prizes for the best-dressed pup. Oh, and I guess we should mention the race being shown on the big screen.
For unlimited dog pats and selfies, and a side of human fun—head to Sir William Fry Reserve from 5-10pm on weekdays and 12-10pm on weekends.
