Yes, There Is A Doughnut And Beer Festival On In Melbourne Next Month

Every now and then an event comes along that involves all of our hopes and dreams all rolled into one neat little package—Donut Fest on the Green is that event.

For one day only on Saturday 10 March, Donut Fest on the Green is a picnic-style festival set out on the laws of Gasworks Arts Park.

Entry will only set you back a gold coin donation, so most of your cash can be spent at their lineup of more than 30 doughnut, sweet, and savoury vendors.

For the kids, there will be an entertainment area with a jumping castle as well as a temporary doughnut tattoo parlour.

And for the adults, there will be live local music, doughnut eating competitions, and the Colonial Brewing Co. beer garden will be serving up beers with matches doughnuts and a selection of alcoholic slushies.

Oh, and it’s DOG-FRIENDLY.

The line-up confirmed so far includes the likes of Popstick Ice-Cream, Dolce House Gelato, Nuts About Tella, Señor Churro, Penny For Pound, Goldelucks, Dashing Donuts and many more to be revealed soon. On the savoury front you’ll find Real Jerk Food, Ron’s Handburgers, La Revolucion, with more on the way.
