No DeLorean necessary, guys. Brunswick’s favourite gallery, cinema, warehouse bar...thing, Howler, is taking us all the way back to small-town America, circa 1955.
They’ve teamed up with creative collective Tastemakers to host a Back To The Future school dance. THE Back To The Future school dance, really. It’s High Valley High’s Under The Sea shindig from the first BTTF movie. The one where kids used words like ‘neat’, and Marty ended up kissing his mum.
The 50s tunes will be pumping, thanks to tribute bans Marty & The Great Scott, and DJ Cassette Walkman will shift gear with some remixed 80s tracks. Expect plenty of Back To The Future surprises throughout the night, and it’ll probably be a good drinking game to take a shot every time you hear a Christopher Lloyd impression.
If Tastemakers’ last event is anything to go by (they turned Howler into the Black Lodge from Twin Peaks a few months ago), this’ll be one swell party.
Where: Heartbreaker, 14 Dawson St Brunswick
When: Monday 6 November
