Boozy Freakshakes Have Come To Melbourne!

Just when you thought Melbourne’s wild (and somewhat troubling) love for freakshakes was wavering, one of Richmond’s favourite drinking venues whip out their big boozy guns.

The Great Britain Hotel is now serving oversized boozy-woozy milkshakes just in time for summer. Trippy combinations include the salted caramel and pretzel shake with bourbon (yes); banana and chocolate with Frangelico (even better); and the Guinness shake with ice-cream, Jameson, caramel and rich chocolate syrup (double trouble).

But wait, you may protestest - whiskey, beer, dairy, and copious amounts of sugar all blitzed into a king-sized shake is surely a classified hazardous substance. Surely? Nope, and here at The Urban List HQ, we figure if you’re going to have an undeniably gluttonous, diabetes-inducing, cream-laden freakshake, you might as well get one that’s spiked, amirite people?

Boasting live music, an outdoor beer garden blanketed with summer sun, and some of the best weekly specials in Richmond – think $5 cheeseburger Mondays - leave the dairy x alcohol mixing to the pros, and settle in for a session with your boozed up milkshake this summer.
