What You Need To Know About Kong And Butter’s Fried Chicken And Champagne Party

Melburnian’s need little introduction to Kong, the Lucas Group’s Church Street Korean restaurant, but you might not be so well acquainted with Butter.

Butter is a fried chicken slash streetwear store from Sydney’s Surry Hills, and you’ll be pleased to know that the two are collaborating for a Fire, Fried Chicken and Champagne Party on October 26.

Getting into the party will cost you $55, and you’ll cop a one-off four-course dinner designed by Kong’s Ben Cooper and Butter’s Executive Chef and Co-Owner, Julian Cincotta.

Expect to dine upon the likes of Butter’s popcorn chicken bites with spicy mayo, or the custom Butter X Kong Peking Cluck Bao featuring Butter’s popular crispy fried chicken tenders with green shallots, cucumber, pickles and condiments.

Finish the lot off with a peanut butter and jelly ice cream sandwich. You can also get into the Champagne action with a glass of Moët for $15.
