Let’s be real, lockdown has given many of us the excuse we needed to indulge. Expensive wines, several new streaming service subscriptions, gaming consoles and the odd spot of online shopping. It’s a lavish lifestyle at home these days, and your evenings spent mashing buttons on the PS4 while sat in your new threads are about to level up thanks to the Crab Club.
The Crab Club comes courtesy of Lamaro’s Hotel and Chef Geoff Lindsay, who’s bringing the crab-focussed feast back for another round. And this time, into your home.
The five-courses kick off with crab and kimchi bao buns, followed by a hearty crab and sweet corn soup. Then, for the heftier dishes, you’re looking at a Singapore chilli Noosa spanner crab that’s overshadowed on the table only by a black pepper swimmer crab. To balance out the palate is a delicate Mandarin cream caramel for dessert.
The Crab Club is available for a limited time between Thursday 23 July to Sunday 26 July at $100 per person for pick-up from Lamaro’s Hotel, which has been transformed into a gourmet grocer and boutique wine store for the duration of lockdown—ask nicely and the team will help you pair a bottle with your meal.
If you’d prefer not to leave the house, free delivery within the South Melbourne area is available, while an extra $20 will have Crab Club delivered to those outside of the 3205 and surrounds.
Press pause and order your Crab Club from Lamaro’s Hotel on 03 9690 3737.
