Like you, we’re devo that Meghan Markle has deleted her Instagram account and lifestyle website— The Tig. It’s standard for royals-to-be to relinquish their personal social media accounts, meaning we’re crossing our fingers that somehow, somewhere, Kanye becomes a member of the royal family.
So now, we’re left without MM’s personal insights into how she lives her life in London. We’ll have to rely on shady paparazzi snaps and hearsay from tabloids—or do we?
We’ve done you all a solid and dug deep into the Markle archives (the Markhives?) to unearth her fave London spots, so that us mere commoners can have a taste of her high life the next time we’re on her side of the pond.
Meghan Markle’s Favourite Restaurants In London
Bocca di Lupo
This Italian restaurant deep in Soho is one of Meghan’s favourite haunts. The ever-changing menu is renowned for featuring specialty dishes from across Italy, we’re talking bresaola from Lombardia up north, to orecchiette with n’duja from Calabria, down south. The restaurant is often touted as London’s best Italian, so of course, it’s tricky business scoring a table...unless you’re Meghan.
The Sands End
One of Prince Harry’s BFFs, Mark Dyer, owns this award-winning gastropub in Fulham, south-west London, so obvs the royal couple are gonna be hanging here for drinks, food and good times. They serve up delicious mod British pub fare, ales, and have a extensive wine list (though no sign of Meghan’s favourite red, the Tignanello). Plus, dogs are allowed (!), so even if you don’t spot Meghan there, there will be heaps of puppers to pat and love (but really, maybe, hopefully, Meghan is there with her puppers).
Violet Bakery’s owner, Claire Ptak, has been charged with making a delicious-sounding lemon and elderflower cake (complete with fresh spring flowers) for the royal wedding, so our bets are their cakes are probably, maybe, a little good. The little cafe and bakery in Hackney makes beautiful cupcakes with seasonally-flavoured buttercreams, cinnamon buns, ginger and molasses cakes, and so much more. They also make wedding cakes to order for plebs like us, too!
Meghan Markle’s Favourite Places To Shop In London
The princess-to-be was spotted shopping at the designer swimwear boutique last Christmas, presumably snapping up luxe bikinis and beachwear. The label counts Kate Moss among its fans, and can most likely add Meghan to its list, too. Expect to pay around $350 for a bikini set form their current collection, so if you’re feeling flush, they’ve recently started shipping to Australia.
Kings Road, Chelsea
On the same trip, Meghan was spotted on the high-end shopping strip, Kings Road in Chelsea. The royal-sounding shopping strip, also a favourite haunt of Kate Middleton’s, features an impressive roster of exclusive fashion boutiques, including department store Peter Jones, perfumery Penhaligon’s, and Vivienne Westwood.
Meghan Markle’s Favourite Spots To Get Pampered In London
Nails And Brow
This boutique salon in posh Mayfair offers “luxury concept” nail and brow styling, and counts Meghan, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande among its clients. Brow-wise, Meghan Markle opts for the Hepburn-inspired “Audrey Brow” which apparently “instantly lifts your face”. No word yet on whether she’s booked herself in for the Bride-to-Be brow treatment at £127.
Sarah Chapman Skinesis Bar
London’s most sought-after “skincare authority” and facialist has a rep for making celebs’ skin sparkle, so it’s a no-brainer that Sarah Chapman has treated Ms Markle’s skin too. At her Skinesis clinic, her signature bespoke facials cost upwards of £125, and she also offers a range of upmarket face-care products. Though we have no idea what was in the shopping bag Meghan was seen toting in December, we hope that it included this amusing-looking face massager.
Meghan Markle’s Favourite Spots To Work Out In London
Meegs is a big-time devotee to yoga and pilates. She’s been papped leaving a few unidentified London gyms, but we’re going to take an educated guess and say she frequents KX Life in Chelsea. Why? It’s a super-exclusive, super-fancy private members gym, where the luxe changerooms offer complimentary Kiehl’s products and toiletries. Monthly membership is a breezy £575 month, and apparently Prince Harry is a member. Plus, they offer classes in pilates and vinyasa yoga, Meghan’s preferred yoga style.
