For American style BBQ fans you can never get enough of low and slow cooked meats and delicious soul food inspired sides. Well, good news, because Bluebonnet BBQ are taking their delicious Black Angus brisket, oak smoked chicken, and Berkshire pulled pork to the streets.

The team discovered an International C1300 sitting neglected in an open paddock, and decided to give it a new lease on life. Affectionately named Mabel, the truck will be setting up shop at Welcome To Thornbury on Saturday 1 April and Wednesday 19 April serving up delicious barbeque plates with all the previously mentioned meats, along with sides like apple and kohlrabi slaw with a poppy seed vinaigrette, and russet potato salad with blackened jalapeno crème fraiche. And of course, it would be a Bluebonnet truck without massive helpings of their amazing smooth, sweet, and spicy house-made BBQ sauce (which will soon be available to buy by the bottle).

In even more exciting news, the team will be giving away free BBQ trays to Mabel’s first 50 customers this Saturday, so you better get in really fast.
