Put down your Four N Twenty, and forget your Bunnings snag this weekend (actually no, Bunnings snags are for life) because the world famous chopped cheese sandwich is hitting our fair city.
What is chopped cheese you ask? Well, let us tell you. The chopped cheese takes its roots from Harlem and The Bronx, rumour has it that it was born of somebody trying to make the legendary Philly Cheesesteak without the proper ingredients—whatever the origin, we’re just keen to throw it into our face.
Riverland are the geniuses bringing this culinary marvel to the world’s most liveable city, and they’ve classed it up a notch. Riverland Group chef Egor Rodichkin is keen to stay away from the usual cheap ground beef, so have replaced it with 9+ wagyu beef from Sevens Creek. Now we're talking.
We’ll be getting down to Riverland and trying it asap.
Where: Riverland, Federation Wharf
