Taxi Kitchen

Single ladies, Taxi Kitchen may just be the place to find your very own Don Draper this New Year’s Eve. With a Mad Men themed celebration complete with 5-course menu, live entertainment, and a prize for the best-dressed table, Taxi seems a winner this year. Ms Collins teams up with legendary Californian house DJ Miguel Migs this New Year’s Eve for the ultimate end of year celebration. Temple Brewing Co in Brunswick are welcoming in the New Year in low-key fashion. With no over-priced tickets, no queues, and no predictable set menus, this amazing brewery is serving food from its delicious a la carte menu until 10.30pm, with bar snacks on offer until midnight and free bubbles for the final countdown. If you are dreaming of a luxurious NYE that transports you to NYC then you need to attend Broadvue's Vue De Monde annual NYE party. Situated on Level 55 of the Rialto the cocktail party is the ultimate nod to the New York stage. The curtain opens at 8pm with crowd favourites Mumm champagne and Lui Bar cocktails and throughout the evening ushers will be weaving through the crowds to serve Shannon Bennett ‘snacks’. Hetty Kate and her band will keep your toes tapping rhythmically throughout the night, preparing you for the ultimate curtain call at midnight. After killing it on last year’s New Year’s party scene, The Village Night Garden New Year’s Eve party is back! The Night Garden party-zone features all-inclusive Erdinger beer, Robert Oatley wines, The Hills cider, basic spirits, and of course a selection of beer food from the beloved Garden Kitchen menu. You can’t go past Munich Brauhaus for the best Bavarian celebration this New Year’s Eve. What they have described as a ‘bier swilling, foot-stomping and schnitzel-chomping party of epic proportions’, is easily the most indulgent way to ring in 2016. Guzzling a gigantic range of imported Bavarian beers, feasting on the famous pork knuckle, and watching the South Wharf Promenade fireworks sounds like a hell-of-a plan this NYE. If you’re a regular or a newbie, Gerald’s Bar is an ideal spot to celebrate 2016 and remember the year that was. An award-winning local gem situated on Rathdowne Street in North Carlton, Gerald’s will be sure to deliver the goods. Tickets are $70 per person and exclude booze. Santoni

The New Year’s Eve party that takes the ‘Hawthorn-cake’ this year is at the local pizza purveyor's choice, Santoni. Celebrating in style, Santoni are offering a modern-Italian 4-course set menu that includes delicacies like mushroom arancini with whipped mash, seared duck breast, and a fancy chocolate brownie for dessert. The main event, including a fantastic view firework show, will be held on the rooftop bar from 11pm til late. Terminus Hotel

BYO double denim, Nike high tops, and slogan-printed tees because Terminus Hotel is bringing back Old School Cool this NYE. As promised, RnB tracks will be spinning all night - and you’ll be delighted with vintage nibbles like the classic prawn cocktail and much-loved devilled egg. Tickets are $120 per person, which includes a 4-hour retro inspired food and drink package from 8pm til midnight. Don’t fret though - the venue will be open till 3am for all you party animals! The Bridge Hotel

The Bridge Hotel just keeps delivering the goods for New Year’s Eve, and this year as it transforms into a spooky haunted house we are sure you will be equally scared and entertained! The Bridge promises ‘ghouls lurking in the laneway, gargoyles in the gantry, and a bite with a side of FRIGHT’. That sounds just perfect to us... Tickets are $120 per person and include a 4.5-hour food and beverage package from 7pm, and of course a cocktail on arrival! Make sure to book your tickets ASAP. 

Richmond Club Hotel

Richmond Club Hotel is the perfect laid-back option this New Year’s Eve. An Endless Summer NYE party with no tickets or dress code - hell I’m relaxed already! More importantly, if you can knock off from work early, there is a lengthy happy hour from 3-6pm. The rooftop is the perfect vantage point for the city fireworks, and a mixture of live acoustic tunes followed by a DJ will take you into 2016. 

Beer DeLuxe

With free entry from the strike of midnight, head to Federation’s Square Beer DeLuxe after the fireworks to kick on well into the morning. Boasting bar food, craft beers and live music, Beer DeLuxe is the place to keep the party going if you’ve got friends with short attention spans!

The Local Taphouse

20s themed flappers party located a skip away from the beachfront sound like a good New Years party? We think so too. Tickets for The Local Taphouse’s exclusive speakeasy-themed party are going at $130 per person or $110 for groups of 5 or more. The ticket price includes all the cocktails, beer, wine and canapés - so it's time to load up for 2016.

There’s nothing more Melbourne than a rooftop bar, so if you’re looking to have a Merry Melbourne New Year's Eve, head to Loop Roof for canapés, drinks and the best view of the NYE fireworks! The ticket price ($175 for earlybirds or $195) includes mixers, beers, reds and bubbles to name a few.
