If you know even a smidge about Sydney’s food scene, you’ll know that they’re all completely bananas for Fratelli Fresh.
Good news is that the casual Italian dining gem is moving south, finding a new home in The Alfred building on Alfred Place in Melbourne’s CBD, and to celebrate, they're giving away free pizzas to the first 100 Urban List readers to pop in this Friday.
Sticking to what they know Fratelli Fresh will be serving up pizzas, antipasti, pasta, and risotto. The produce is all top-notch, but we think that the pizzas are where it’s at—the bases are naturally fermented for 48 hours, before being hand stretched and made in to thin crusted pizzas, topped with premium ingredients and wood fired.
There are 11 pizzas to choose from, we strongly suggest you go with friends, order multiple and then share. Order envy is a real thing, folks! If you need a helping hand, we promise that the Frutti de Mare is a solid choice, especially if you’re a seafood lover. Otherwise, take a look at the Bianca, it’s topped with lamb sausage, onion, rosemary and potato and is a real crowd-pleaser.
On the drinks front, Fratelli Fresh really gets us, offering aperitivo hour from 3pm-6pm, when $5 wine, beer and spirits are on offer, alongside $10 Spritzers and Negroni on tap.
