5 Street Style Collabs To Check Out This Summer

Nothing generates more hype than the words ‘limited edition’ and over the past year athleisure and street style labels have kicked it up a notch with a bunch of new creative collabs coming in thick and fast this summer. From Alexander Wang x adidas to Gigi Hadid x Reebok, there’s an abundance of coveted collections worth noting and they’ve steadily been seeping into our wardrobe rotation.

To bring you our top five, hotly-anticipated collabs, we’ve teamed up with Chadstone – The Fashion Capital. Boasting over 10 new streetwear stores, including Dr Martens, JD Sports and Australia's first Champion store, the Lower Ground East Mall Precinct now has over 40 dedicated streetwear stores that epitomise urban culture (you can even customise your gear at Champion to guarantee a completely personalised look).

Here’s what we plan to spend our hard-earned coin on this summer.

Pharrell Williams x adidas

Reimagining traditional East African weaving techniques, Pharrell Williams’ SOLARHU Capsule Collection is a fearless amalgamation of kaleidoscopic colours and bold patterns. Released in November, the range features a mix of sneakers, tees, caps and recycled polyester jackets, and is an ode to both the spirit of East Africa and the ‘hues of humanity’.

Justin Timberlake x Levi’s

Teaming up with the iconic American denim label for the first time, Justin Timberlake’s Fresh Leaves collection is anchored in quality, authenticity and self-expression. Designed for relaxed everyday wear, the range is an homage to his Tennessee roots and is super accessible with a more-than-reasonable price point. From tapered 501s to flannel worker shirts, each piece is equally understated as it is versatile—with a subtle touch of Timberlake, of course. The range is available in stores now.

Miley Cyrus x Converse

Pop queen Miley Cyrus has joined forces with Converse for a second time to create a candy-coloured range of kicks and apparel. From crushed velvet and stacked glittery platforms to reflective patent leather and the iconic Chuck Taylor star print, the bold collection celebrates individualism, freedom and expression—in true Miley style. The collab is available in selected stores now, including both Converse and Platypus.

Gigi Hadid x Reebok

Considering Gigi Hadid has a 44 million-strong following, it’s safe to say her ‘90s-inspired collab with iconic sportswear brand Reebok is guaranteed to fly off the shelves. Dropping December 7 (with the full collection coming in early 2019), the limited edition capsule collection is available at JD Sports and features striking sneakers, electric blue tights, understated tees and edgy crops.

Alexander Wang x adidas

Illustrious American designer Alexander Wang has teamed up with adidas Originals for the fourth time to create an adidas archive-inspired, 18-piece unisex capsule—and we’re all about it. The collection, released in mid-November, is a knockout hybrid of both vintage and contemporary silhouettes, featuring a range of kicks, sweatpants, jackets and tees. Emblazoned with the iconic Three Stripes and Trefoil, each garment is as equally urban as it is versatile.

If these creative collabs have you thirsty for some new threads, be sure to head to Chadstone. With a slew of street style collabs being released regularly, your wardrobe will be fresh this summer—but be sure to get in quick as they sell out faster than you can say ‘limited edition’.
