Daschunds & daiquiris—now here's a combo we can get behind.
Daschunds & Daiquiris is a brand new festival for dog lovers and flowing alcoholic bevvies held at The Ascot Lot on Saturday 24 November.
The festival is inspired by Lachlan Taylor’s (the Lot’s co-owner) dachshunds, Frankie and Barnie, who are subtly dropped in the venue’s overall aesthetic. The two pups’ portraits have even been hand-painted on the Lot’s Garden Bar wall by Melbourne artist Kitt Bennett.
In the last year, The Ascot Lot has cemented itself as one of Melbourne’s most dog-loving venues—their indoor drinking hall, garden bar, and beer garden are all completely accessible to man’s best friend, all while housing some of Melbourne’s most delectable food trucks.
There will be a variety of food trucks available at the event for the humans, while hounds can enjoy tail-wag-inducing treats from The Canine Wellness Kitchen food truck. There will also be a market exclusively dedicated to your fave furry pal complete with fun photoshoots, boutique doggy accessories, and more.
Best part: you get to sip on delicious frosé and frozen strawberry smash daiquiris all day (only $10 a pop) surrounded by frolicking dogs in what is sure to be one of the biggest Melbourne dog (and human) meetup of the year.
