By Emma Bangay - 28 Nov 2014

‘Attention please. All those in favour of a showroom of super proportions boasting Melbourne’s best interiors, food and life- inspo, please assemble at The Assembly Hall.’

You heard it here first. A distinctive and definitive space is about to open in Kensington, and it’s big news if you live, breath and love innovation, creativity and mental and physical wellness. Designed as a hub of inspiration, the heart of the space is The Assembly Hall Showroom, with arteries including Food for the Inside, Wares for the Outside and Design By The Assembly Hall all contributing to this exciting new creative heartbeat only 4km out of the CBD.

What does it all mean? Let’s learn, shall we?

The Assembly Hall Showroom acts as an ever-rotating ferris wheel of the finest lifestyle merchandise, curated with the idiosyncratic Assembly Hall customer in mind. Allen Keys need not apply, as nothing here is cookie-cut or out of the box. Instead, the vast space houses a unique and hand-plucked selection of products from all over the globe. The focus is progressive, the message is directional, and the result is a breath of fresh air into any interior. Reel in your renovation until you can set foot in this space, people, as The Assembly Hall Showroom will offer innovative and varied options for both consumers and designers to custom order bespoke Interior lighting, furniture and rugs.

Design by The Assembly Hall. Led by Creative Director Jessica Bettenay this will be the brand spanking, idea-sparking studio space of the Interior Design team.

Food for the Inside allows you to rethink what you’re putting on the inside of your very own self as well! In order to fuel the body and mind, Food For The Inside offers edible delights sourced and purchased locally from surrounding markets and farms. The result is an array of clean, raw delectable salads and juices to offer respite amidst the retail experience or act as a landing pad for that Kingsford client meeting. Currently, the kiosk-style space offers a charming farm to fork experience but watch this space; big plans are getting plated up to evolve Food For The Inside into a major event hub.

Wares from the Outside is designed to create a fresh take and creative energy showcasing products for the outside of the home, rounding out the complete inside/outside experience of The Assembly Hall.

March on in to The Assembly Hall from Friday, November 28th
