A Taste of TAM Exhibtion
Thou Art Mum or ‘TAM’, a Diamond Valley network of over 40 female visual artists are showcasing their next exhibition A Taste of TAM with the show wrapping up this Sunday. Viva Cuba! Exhibition at LUMAS Melbourne
Viva Cuba! kicks off at LUMAS this Thursday in celebration of the island’s nostalgic charm, its architecture, and lively atmosphere. The exhibition will feature selected works by Werner Pawlok, Luigi Visconti, and Larry Yust, with a preview event held on Thursday night at 6pm including special offers and drinks available for visitors. Hit up Smith Street in Collingwood this Saturday for Friends Of The Earth’s Perry Street Festival! Fitzroy Film Fair at The LuWOW
The 2nd Fitzroy Film Fair is brimming with all things film. For just $5 entry to The LuWOW, spend an afternoon in a film frenzy, with stalls featuring new and secondhand DVDs, Blue-ray and VHS items, posters, books, soundtracks, and collectibles. Piggy, Poitín & Potato Festival at The Last Jar
The Last Jar and Glendalough Distillery are banding together to bring you a celebration of poitíin – the Irish moonshine equivalent this Saturday. Catch the festival from 1-6pm for a chance to learn about poitín (pronounced “potcheen”), how it’s made and how to slurp it down. A sweet suckling pig spit will be roasting on the rooftop, with piggy and potato platters available throughout the afternoon – plus, special poitín cocktails will be available for just $10! Entry to the event is free, but bring some cash along to cover those platter eats.
Slide Melbourne 2015
For the kid in all of us: Hell yeah we want to slip down the world’s longest street water slide! Summer is here and we are ready to slide along 400 metres of Lansdowne Street, East Melbourne to celebrate. The day will be split into five two-hour sessions starting at 10am, 12pm, 2:15, 4:15 and 6:15. Tickets for the event are $41 and can be purchased via Trybooking.
