We’ve got a spooktacular lineup of Halloween goodness this weekend (plus some not-so-spooky goodness as well!). There’s a Dia de los Muertos party at The Black Pearl, Glamorama are putting on a Halloween rave and 505 Wine Room are hosting a Spring High Tea.
Here are 12 awesome things to do in Melbourne this weekend:
Spooktober Halloween Festival
Held at the St Kilda Town Hall, this four-day festival is must-go for any Halloween junkies. The festival includes two Haunted Houses, games, amusements, a Food Truck Village, Roaming Entertainment, costume contests and a Trick or Treat Trail. Be warned though, the haunted houses get progressively scarier as the night grows darker! (Definitely not for the faint of heart). Check out all the info and grab your tickets here.
Toast to the Coast
This weekend you’ll have the opportunity to explore over 25 wineries across the Bellarine, Moorabool Valley and Surf Coast. During Toast to the Coast you’ll be able to meander through the wineries, enjoy a scenic lunch and listen to local musicians as you tuck into award winning wines. You can even book shuttle buses to get you from place to place if you can’t find a designated driver! Check out the full list of wineries and grab your tickets here.
Bayside Food Truck Fiesta
The Bayside Food Truck Fiesta has moved to a bigger location in Highett with an even bigger lineup of awesome food trucks! There will be a full bar, live music and a rotating roster of over 20 of Melbourne’s finest food trucks, including Mr. Burger, Lucky Coq, White Guy Cooks Thai and much more. Entry is a gold coin donation, raising money for Cheltenham Pharmacy First Community Grants Program, and the event is pet friendly! Check out all the info, including a full list of food trucks here.
Craft beer, live music and gourmet food. That sounds like a pretty awesome night out if you ask me. Located at the Abbotsford Convent, The Brewer’s Feast will showcase some of the best craft beer and cider. The event will run across Friday and Saturday and will feature craft beer education, beer and food pairing and home brewing sessions. Check out all the info and grab your tickets here.
Need some practical tips on where to start with food and wine matching? Love Peruvian food? Then this Pep Alliance dinner and Q&A should be in your calendar for the weekend. Chef Alejandro Saravia of Pastuso and Christian McCabe of Town Mouse will whip up a three-course sharing menu with matched wines, while answering any questions about natural wines and Peruvian food. Check out all the info and the full menu here.
