A starry night observed behind the Mount Burnett Observatory.

Watching live streams seems to be back in a big way. The Penguin Parade at Phillip Island just kicked off their new live stream this week and well over 100,000 people joined in to watch the little creatures waddle their way back to safety.

Now it's time to turn our attention upward, as we join Victoria's Mount Burnett Observatory for 'A Night At The Observatory'.

The Mount Burnett Observatory is kicking off a monthly series of live streams that will explore the night sky. They're kicking things off on Friday 4 September with a guided tour of Jupiter and an introduction to Earth's place in the solar system, along with some history on the observatory itself.

The team will host the first 100 people to join on a Zoom chat with the opportunity to ask questions throughout. If you miss out on being in the first 100 you'll be directed to their Facebook live stream.

Keep an eye on the Night At The Observatory Facebook event for links on the day.
