It's reasonably fair to say that us Melburnian's enjoy the odd burger, and there is no shortage of places to dine upon the majestic creation.
But what if you don't feel like venturing too far from the house? Or what if you prefer the taste of a burger that's served directly from the window of a truck?
Well, you need not worry anymore, because Hank Marvin Market are kicking off the Big Burger Biannual on Melbourne Cup eve this year.
What better way to spend your sneaky cup eve *sick* day that relaxing with your pals in the calm surrounds of Alma Park East and devouring a metric ton of food truck delicacies. The Hank Marvin crew are hoping the burger bash will become a regular fixture on your food consumption calendar.
There will be 18 burger vendors for you to choose from including favourites such as Sliders On Tyres, Fancy Hanks BBQ Joint, Mr Burger and Beatbox Kitchen. Of course to help you work those burgers down there will be craft beer, cider, freshly made drinks and desserts from Billy Van Creamy, La Buerre Cakes and Whoopies Cookies.
This is the first for the biannual event with the next event happening in March-April 2017 as part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
