Gone are the days when you could chuck on a pair of jeans and meet your mates for a coffee. Now you wouldn’t be caught dead without rocking a pair of skin-tight, bum-sculpting, high-waisted leggings (usually black from Lulu Lemon… sorry Bec Judd), an Adidas singlet (probs black as well) and a pair of Nike kicks (also black, duh).
Only trouble is the cost of all this is about the same as that new YSL wallet you saw in the window at Chaddy. Rough.
Cue the Fitzroy Vintage Sportswear Market.
Word on the street is this one’s gonna be their biggest and craziest market yet, chocca-block full of vintage sportswear from some of our fav activewear brands, including Stone Island, Nike, Polo Sport, Fubu, Dada, Adidas, Fila, Sergio Tacchini, Umbro and Juicy Couture.
Think vintage singlets, jackets, leggings, sneakers, drink bottles and accessories. There’ll be $5, $10 and $20 tubs and rails as well, so even you cheapskates can get on board.
Pro tip: keep your eyes peeled for the raffle. Tickets will be sold at the door, and the winner gets $200 bucks to spend at any of the stalls during the next market.
The market will open its doors at 10am and close at 5pm. We recommend getting in early, because active-wear bargains wait for no one.
Chuck them a follow on Instagram if you’re keen to check out photos of the stock available on the day and all other updates.
Where: The Evelyn Hotel, 351 Brunswick St, Fitzroy
When: Saturday September 15, 10am – 5pm

Chuck this one in the diary: Lululemon and the NGV are rocking a summer mindfulness series.
