Milkshakes and burgers. Can you ever get enough? We don't think so, which is why we're pumped to try out new opening, The Grand Trailer Park Taverna in Melbourne!
Sitting on the corner of Bourke Street and Exhibition Street, this little beauty is designed by co-owner Josh Lefers of Pawn & Co. With a quirky and retro fit-out that screams classic American Winnebago, customers can slide into converted caravan booths, while they feast on some of Melbourne's best burgers!
Slinging out patties and shakes with a twist, this latest addition to Melbourne's burger-joint-scene is spicing things up, or should we say, spiking things up! The Grand Trailer Park Taverna's milkshakes have a naughty twist to them, and will be—you guessed it—spiked! Our heart rates have definitely spiked hearing about the salted caramel, maple bacon and Makers Mark bourbon shake! Although, the Kinder Surprise, Frangelico and Baileys variety sounds pretty darn epic too!
But the burgers are still the showstopper. Co-owner Dani Zieni has designed the menu, bringing his knowledge from the Dandenong Pavillion, where his burgers were awarded in the top ten best new burgers in Melbourne! Our pick is the Atomic, with beef, American cheddar cheese, chilli cheese kransky, crispy bacon, BBQ sauce and truffle cayenne mayo! There are nine different burgers to choose from, too! So get excited for these prestigious grass-fed beef patties, minced in house with La Rossette brioche buns! Mmm, brioche. So bad, but so, so good.
Speaking of sweet things, there's also a waffle burger for dessert, served up with decadent ice cream! With cocktails, cider, craft beer and slushies as well, there isn't a camper that won't be happy in this foodie trailer park!
So shake things up a bit, Listers, and head on over to one of Melbourne's best new burger joints! See you at The Grand Trailer Park Taverna!
