Calling all Japanophiles! Do you froth over fresh sushi? Sip sake for supper? Would you dine izakaya-style every night if you could? Listen up because Toko—the prestigious Japanese restaurant that currently has outposts in Dubai and Sydney—is set for a Melbourne restaurant, opening later this year in Prahran.

The perfect combination of delicious, refined food, incredible interior design and service that’s second to none, Toko has set standards high at its Surry Hills restaurant. Having won a string of awards, championing everything from its rare whisky selection to its mouth-watering food, the new restaurant in Melbourne will bring the Toko experience to Victoria for the very first time, delighting food fans with a comprehensive dining and bar menu.

Toko’s new Melbourne venue will be situated on Greville Street, several doors down from The Urban List favourites Lladro, Oscar Cooper and White Oaks Saloon, making for an epic food and drink crawl running through the heart of Prahran.

While details about Toko Melbourne are currently thin on the ground, we can be that this new addition to our beautiful city’s buzzing Japanese food scene will be welcomed with open arms. Grab your chopsticks and get ready for some incredible eats later this year, Listers.
