We’ve got the ultimate wine-filled weekend vacation for you and your favourite grape-ful buddy or hubby, because everyone loves a quality bottle. To celebrate the launch of their new, premium Patricia range, Brown Brothers are playing host to a heavenly dinner filled with decadent dishes and luxe wines.
Follow the family as they guide you through an indulgent five-course dinner with matched wines including the new release Patricia Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 and Patricia Chardonnay 2014. The new release wines are enchantingly named after the family matriarch Patricia Brown and are the culmination of Brown Brothers’ expert winemaking skills (yeah, they’re better than those two bottles of red you won in your work's Christmas raffle).
Dishes inspired by the family cookbook will be prepared by award-winning Executive Chef Douglas Elder—the skilled hands behind the hatted-restaurant Patricia’s Table. Expect bright, fresh, elegant dishes bursting with flavour.
The fairytale roaming dinner will move throughout the spacious, Brown Brothers winery from the airy, redecorated barn to the crowd-favourite, historic cellar door. Live music will accompany guests throughout the night.
After you’ve dined and wined till your heart (and stomach) is full, we recommend treating yourself to a few nights at Lindenwarrah — a luxury villa home only a few steps down the road from Brown Brothers, where you can enjoy the best of Milawa’s local produce bright and early every morning.
The weekend agenda is packed full of local food and some of the best blue-ming darn cheese you won’t brie-lieve. Take a DIY foodie tour through the Milawa Cheese Company (you’ll want a few kilos, KILOS of the King River Gold Washed Rind to go), the Snow Road Produce café and Milawa’s dedicated mustard shop (it’s named Milawa’s Mustards, because these smart chickens leave the innovation to the kitchen).
Hatted restaurant Patricia’s Table, which looks out onto Brown Brothers’ gardens, boasts a luscious seasonal menu with matching, premium wines. You’ll dream about their goats milk ricotta tart with peppers, candied black olives, pinenuts and tomato jelly back in metropolis, while caramel cream with toasted banana crumb, raspberries and malted puffed quinoa is perfectly finished with Patricia Noble Riesling.
The best excuse of a three-day weekend ever, the Patricia New Release dinner will kick off with delicate canapés and Patricia Sparkling Pinot Chardonnay on Friday 28th April at 6.30pm. You can book a spot here.
Ready to head to Milawa for your very own wine adventure? Simply click on this handy map link, and follow the directions out of Melbourne, through Seymour and towards Wangaratta. You'll want to turn off the main road and head towards Milawa before reaching Wangaratta town centre...then just look for the Brown Brothers sign!
