Where To Watch The 2019 AFL Grand Final In Melbourne

It’s that time of the year again when we farewell another season of footy, which can only mean one thing: we have to send it off with a bang. Even if your team didn’t make it to finals this year, there are so many things to celebrate. It is a long weekend, after all.

So you’re looking for a place to kick it this Grand Final Weekend? Whether you’re looking for something laidback or something a little more boujee, you’ve got options. There’s free beers, boozy brunches, food truck parties and loads more. Here’s everywhere to celebrate the AFL Grand Final in 2019.

Grosvenor Hotel

You heard it here first: on Grand Final Day St Kilda’s iconic Grosvenor Hotel will be slinging free beers from first score ‘til first bounce. They’ll also be serving up a Grand Final exclusive special pie, the Reefy Beef Pie, a luxe interpretation of the classic surf n turf. It’s made with French veloute, lobster medallions, house made shot crust pastry, lobster sauce, rich braised wagyu beef, sea succulents, sorrel and pea puree. And if that pie doesn’t have your mouth watering, you’ll be frothing at the mouth when you hear that they’ve got drink specials including $10 mimosas and Aperol Spritzes.

The Emerson

The Emerson’s elite rooftop view of the city isn’t the only thing that they’ve got going on, especially on Grand Final weekend. First things first, The Emerson’s Grand Final Day event is renowned for selling out, so it’s recommended that you purchase your tickets ASAP. For $65 you can grab yourself a beverage to keep the drinks flowing all game long. There’s also a $20 snack pack including mini hot dogs, dim sims, mac and cheese bites and meat pies, as well as vegan options including pasties, fries and potato cakes. There’s also VIP booths if that’s how you roll.

$2 Pots At The Builders Arms Hotel

Make it a big day out at The Builders Arms Hotel. Things kick off at 9 am with $10 bacon and egg rolls. They’re also are levelling up Grand Final day specials with celebratory $2 pots of Young Henry’s Lager from 1 pm until the first goal. At 2 pm they’ll also be taking bets for the first goal and Norm Smith Medal for you to go into the running to win a Meatsmith tray. They’re taking bookings, with walk-ins welcome too.

All You Can Eat Sushi At Morris Jones Restaurant And Cocktail Bar

If you’ve got two hours and $59 to spend, book yourself into Morris Jones Restaurant and Cocktail Bar for an all you can eat sushi experience you’ve only ever dreamt of. They’ve got two sessions to choose from as well as a huge list of drinks to pair with your sushi. Think mimosas, spritz’ and all the wine.

Grand Final Day At The Ascot Lot

First things first, we can confirm that The Ascot Lot’s Grand Final festivities are drum roll: dog-friendly. Insert love heart eye emoji. The Ascot Lot will be kicking things off at 11 am, catering to any pre-game beverage cravings you may have, including $15 Coopers jugs and $5 tinnies. In terms of food trucks, there’ll be seven trucks on duty for the day including Nicolosi Pizzeria, Loaded, Mr. Whippy and more. There’ll also be post-game entertainment with live music playing into the night.

The Corner Hotel

Saying that the Grand Final Day at The Corner Hotel will be going off this year is an absolute understatement. The band room, rooftop, front bar and car park will all be involved in the footy festivities, with 14 screens in total, of course including their megatron screen. For the third year in a row, the Corner Carpark will feature a big screen as well as bars, burger trucks, games andmore. The Corner Hotel will also be facilitating kick-ons with a post-game party in the band room and DJs in the front bar. Oh and entry is free, all day.

Bottomless Champagne At The Stokehouse

A little less AFL, a little more champagne. For $150 you can score yourself a spot in the luxurious Stokehouse Dining Room with a two-course lunch, two hours worth of bottomless Bollinger Champagne and some of the best beachside views a Melburnian institution can offer. The Stokehouse has extended their Champagne Saturdays due to popular demand, so bookings are highly recommended.

Grand Final Day At Fargo And Co

This year Fargo and Co are pouring up two bottomless options, with a warm-up brunch and a main event for lunch. For a pre-game boozy brunch, you’re looking at bottomless spritzes, mimosas, prosecco, moscato as well as a brunch item of your choice. For the main event, you can score yourself a burger or a bowl, three hours of bubbles, beer and wine. Oh, and you’ll also be able to watch the game across their two levels. And in true Fargo style, there’ll be a DJ covering post-game festivities.
